I spent the summer as an intern at WDSrx headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. It was a great experience for me. One of the things I enjoyed most about my time at WDSrxwas the opportunity to instantly be a part of the team here and become involved in day-to-day problem-solving. The paid international internships were built around my interests one of my best takeaways from this summer was getting a better understanding of how data science plays an important role in connecting warehouse analytics to corporate analysis and decision making in the logistics industry. WDSrx is a pharmaceutical logistics services provider with efficient operations being essential in this industry because we help deliver medications to patients. During my internship, I contributed to three projects. First, I wrote a research paper about the importance of key performance indicators and how the company is developing metrics to improve efficiency. I was a part of the working group I created a plan to implement Kisoro the benefit of different parts of the company including client services and warehouse management. Additionally I worked directly with the marketing team to monitor the company’s online performance learning about including search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising campaigns by analyzing google analytics and content creation for website. In these paid international internships As a rapidly expanding company, the client database was kept in different computers and different systems I helped consolidate information about clients from different sources into a comprehensive searchable database. My work will help different departments become more efficient to access the information they need from a single source. Don’t expect to make copies get coffee as an intern here expect to be challenged to be motivated the team treats me with the respect it’s up to me whether I gain it or lose it. Working at WDSrx has furthered my interest in studying data science in Michigan while also opening my eyes to the real-world applications and possibilities within this field.
